Reviews to "Mighty"
"Mighty by Hoosegow is indeed a mighty record. If you are in a mid-youth crisis a nd looking for a guitar hero, here he is. The opening slide track is a wild, clanking, National resophonic, Blind Willie Johnson on acid, type of thing called ... well as the lady sings it ... Mighty, Mighty. Singer Queen Esther's voice is nothing less; a kind of jazzy blues one. She sings blues lines that seem to float around independently from whatever Elliot is doing. This is new stuff. The first harmelodic folk blues record. This should have been a Folk Roots Album Of The Year. Light years away from all that other stuff." (Folk Roots)
