Sisters Euclid

Run, Neil, Run - 2005

A purely instrumental homage to one of the great songwriters in rock: Neil Young. The Canadian quartet delivers an intense musical excursion through a remarkable world of song, performing with gusto and passion. With guitarist Kevin Breit (Norah Jones, Holly Cole, Cassandra Wilson, k.d. lang) taking the lead most of the time, Sisters Euclid work along distinct parameters of expression and depth. In the process they come up with a sound that directly corresponds with Youngs originals in an intelligent and meaningful kind of way. Sisters Euclid are a fascinating band that incorporates the energy of rock with folk sentiment and jazz improvisation.

96 Tears - 2010

For their second T & M release, Torontos Sisters Euclid offer a unique project: an album of select cover versions. Classic songs from rock, blues, jazz, pop and folk from Billie Holiday and Howlin Wolf to The Doors and The Velvet Underground. For the whole album, guitar virtuoso Kevin Breit & Co. are joined by two very special guests: singer Sandy Dillon and guitar player Ray Majors. The expatriate American from London and her musical foil (of Mott The Hoople fame) are known for the emotional intensity and dark passion they bring to each project. The result: an album that gets under your skin. A dozen famous songs featured in a new and very personal light for posteritys sake.
