Recorded on a hot summer-night at Radio Bremen concert hall, this is New Acoustic Blues at its very best. As one of the most prolific and popular practitioners of the genre, Guy Davis infuses classic repertoire with contemporary spirit and a lot of soul - from Robert Johnson to Bob Dylan.



Dave Van Ronk: Dave Van Ronk: On Air - 2007

An American music legend in a historical 1993 solo performance recorded at Bremen’s Packhaus-Theater. The great Dave Van Ronk was more than just a folksinger in his lifetime. An integral part of the Greenwich Village bohème since the early fifties, he was a one-of-a-kind raconteur and an artist who sang and played in the true spirit of vintage jazz. This recording presents the pure essence of Dave Van Ronk, Musician, NYC, USA. A special glimpse into the mind of a man who was very much in touch with music’s past.

Freddie Roulette: Man of Steel - 2006

Freddie Roulette’s second T & M release was produced by Henry Kaiser and also features Kaiser himself on guitar, David Lindley (1 track) and the Emerson Brothers from Hawaii. The veteran lap-steel player from California again proves to be a true original who likes to delve into many different genres. Soul, blues, country, funk, Hawaiian, R & B and pop – all played with soul and passion. A wonderful roots music album for every time of the day featuring wonderful guitars and a relaxed groove. The most welcome comeback of a man who sounds like nobody else.


John Martyn: On Air - 2006

John Martyn in a remarkable solo performance from September 1975 recorded at historic Town Hall in Bremen/Germany. A legendary Radio Bremen recording featuring the brilliant Scottish singer, songwriter and guitar-player at his best, performing classic original songs like „Bless The Weather“, „Solid Air“ along with a variety of folk and blues covers. Classic mid-period John Martyn, leaving the folk genre behind and creating his very own folk/blues/jazz-fusion in the process. An intensely fascinating glimpse into the past courtesy of one of music’s great individualists – singing and playing in his prime.
